ABOUT US

IMDAD Foundation (formerly ICIC Foundation) was established on May 03,1981 and registered as an association of no-profit under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017, (then Companies Ordinance, 1984). Subsequently the name of the Foundation was changed to IMDAD Foundation on 7th November, 1995.

GOVERNING BOARD

Late Justice (Retd) Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, former Federal Law Minister and former Governor of Sindh ,was the Chairman of the Board from 1995 to 2019 and late Mr. Ghulam Ishaq Khan, the former President of Pakistan, was the Chairman of the Board from 1981 to 1995.

The Governing Board is presently headed by Mr. Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, a Senior Banker, former Executive, United Bank Limited and former Chief Executive Officer, BCCI. The other Members of the Board are eminent retired bankers, businessmen, educationists, a Senior Advocate of Sindh High Court and a senior retired officer from Pakistan Navy. The current Governing Board, elected in October 2024 for a period of three years (2024 to 2027) is as under:

MANAGEMENT

The Foundation is professionally managed and headed by Engr. Nazim F. Haji S.St., Member, Governing Board/Chief Executive, businessman and Civil Rights activist. The Advisor is Mr. Muhammad Yasir Ashraf Khan, having huge experience of Management. Furthermore, the Chief Financial Officer, under the Chief Executive supervises the operational, investments and administrative functions of the Foundation, who in turn supported by other staff.
